Scan One Piece Card Game cards to check rarity, set code and value. How to spot alt arts, manga rares and SECs, and price English vs Japanese cards.

The One Piece Card Game has grown into one of the best-selling trading card games, with TCGplayer ranking it third by sales in late 2025 and early 2026. Its chase cards, especially alternate arts and manga rares, can be very valuable, and they're easy to miss in a stack of pulls. A One Piece card scanner identifies each card and shows its market value.
How One Piece cards are identified
Every card has a card code in the bottom right, such as OP05-119:
- OP05 = booster set (Booster Pack 05); ST = starter deck; EB = extra booster; P = promo
- 119 = card number in that set
- A rarity code next to it: C, UC, R, SR, SEC, L (Leader), SP, P
Alternate art versions share the same code as the regular card but have different artwork and finishes. That's why checking the art matters.
Rarities worth looking for
- SEC (Secret Rare): the top regular rarity in each set
- Alternate arts (parallel): same card, special art, often marked by a star or different frame
- Manga rares: comic-panel artwork, among the most sought-after cards
- SP cards: special versions of earlier cards inserted into newer sets
- Leader alt arts and promo prize cards

Scanning tips
- Keep the card code in frame and sharp.
- Scan textured and foil alt arts at an angle to the light.
- Check whether your card is English or Japanese: the Japanese game started earlier, and prices differ by language.
English vs Japanese One Piece cards
The One Piece Card Game launched in Japan in 2022, and the English version followed. Many sets are released in Japanese first, so collectors often know the chase cards before the English release. Prices for the two languages are tracked separately:
- Japanese cards can be cheaper at release and are popular with collectors who like the original printing.
- English cards are in demand for play in Western tournaments and for collectors who prefer readable text.
Always check which language your scan matched before comparing prices.
Protect your best pulls
Alt arts and manga rares are easily damaged by careless pack opening. Sleeve them straight away, put high-value cards in a toploader, and keep them away from sunlight and humidity. See how to protect your cards. If a pull looks perfect, read is it worth grading cards? before you decide.

Frequently asked questions
Can I scan One Piece cards with a card scanner app?
Yes. Multi-game scanners like Rarefolio support the One Piece Card Game and show estimated prices.
What does SEC mean on a One Piece card?
SEC stands for Secret Rare, the highest standard rarity in a booster set.
Why does my alt art have the same number as the regular card?
Alternate arts share the regular card's code. Check the artwork and finish to tell them apart, since prices differ a lot.
Are Japanese One Piece cards worth more?
Not always. English and Japanese prints are priced separately, and either can be higher depending on the card and supply.
